Gateway Park Mixed-Use Business Park

Kimley-Horn provided design, land development, landscape, and drainage engineering services for the Gateway Park Mixed-Use Business Park in Colorado.

Since 2003, Kimley-Horn has provided on-call and project-specific consulting services, including infrastructure design on over 500 acres, for this 1,200-acre mixed-use development in the cities of Denver and Aurora, Colorado.

Kimley-Horn’s design services included master drainage evaluations (CUHP and SWMM modeling) for four major drainage basins, master overlot grading and phasing of implementation packages, site development projects and entitlements with the City and County of Denver (CCD) and the City of Aurora, roadway design with water, sewer, storm, paving and marking, traffic impact studies, and detention pond construction documents. Our projects include final design on four regional detention ponds, a stormwater lift station, various roadway and infrastructure design, and the 40th Avenue Lowering.

Throughout the project, Kimley-Horn has coordinated with many agencies, including U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, RTD, and Denver International Airport.
