About the Webinar
This webinar covers how implementation of roadway safety signing improvements can provide a cost-effective approach to systemically addressing roadway safety in rural counties.
With the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announcement on May 5, 2020 of the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Cycle 10 Call-for-Projects, Joshua Pack, PE, Director of Public Works and Transportation at Calaveras County (formerly with Nevada County) and pioneer in using HSIP funding for Roadway Sign Safety Audit (RSSA) projects joined Matt Weir, PE, T.E., PTOE (Kimley-Horn), Robert Paderna, PE (Kimley-Horn), and Matt Stringer, PLS (Mark Thomas) in this joint webinar.
The panelists share their experience in delivering RSSA projects in Nevada County and share insights on the HSIP grant received, project procurement, technology-driven data collection methods, sign audit, construction document development, environmental clearance, construction, and lessons learned.
