Kimley-Horn serves as the general consultant for the Pompano Beach Airpark. The firm designed improvements to Runway 15/33 and Taxiway D, and is responsible for the data collection, analysis, and documentation for the environmental assessment of these improvements including detailed listed species surveys and assessment of the effects to these species as a result of the project and future aviation-related uses on-site. Kimley-Horn is also responsible for permitting the impacts to the animals and relocating the gopher tortoises. The firm is coordinating with various agencies to minimize conflict between these species and further construction, as well as address habitat impacts associated with the runway extension.
