American Association of Airport Executives
Kimley-Horn has been a long-standing active member of AAAE at the national and regional levels for more than 20 years. This commitment has led to numerous successful partnerships, including serving as a corporate member and attending and participating in numerous national and regional conferences from annual to technical topical meetings. Multiple Kimley-Horn employees have served on technical and conference committees and interfaced with federal and state government officials on regulatory and policy issues. Kimley-Horn has been recognized by AAAE for the 2016 large-sized firm AAAE Corporate Cup of Excellence award, and other awards, demonstrating our commitment to the industry and organization. Airside Engineering Hot Topics

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) periodically updates the airside design standards to address identified needs. Furthermore, the technology improves daily for innovation and efficiency. To stay current with the latest, the session includes an enlightening update in the airside engineering design standards (e.g., Advisory Circulars and Engineering Brief) from the FAA. The session also takes a deep dive in the practical use and implementation of Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) technology for the airside projects. Additional timely airside hot topics impacting and shaping our Aviation industry will be presented as well.
