Kimley-Horn provided land development and transportation services for the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas new headquarters in Richardson, Texas.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas consolidated its 2,700 employees into a single built-to-suit campus for numerous operational efficiencies, with quality workplace benefits for employee recruiting and retention.
Kimley-Horn worked with the land owner to prepare the land purchase contract, and as a result was selected to provide professional services for the new campus including site boundary survey, tree survey, traffic impact analysis, and complete civil design. The City also selected Kimley-Horn for the design of a 2,000-foot roadway (Routh Creek Parkway), including a 600-foot bridge, to serve the new campus. The campus sits on a 30-acre tract and consists of 1 MSF of office buildings and a six level 3,500 space parking garage.
