Glasshouse: Creating an Elevated Residential Experience in Orlando

Located within O-Town West, a 350-acre master planned community comprising four commercial centers, Glasshouse is a luxury residential community in Orlando, Florida. Kimley-Horn delivered landscape architecture and civil engineering services for the community, which offers upscale amenities, including a resort-style pool with attached green space and walking trails, full-service restaurant, fitness center, and spa/sauna facilities.

With more than 900 luxury rental units spread across three five-story buildings, Glasshouse is a testament to creating refined and memorable resident experiences.

Our services encompassed all amenity areas at Glasshouse, including the courtyards, passive recreation areas (such as the dog park, outdoor kitchen, and walking trail), and the Lakehouse Pool area. Throughout multiple phases, our team provided the following services:

Elevating the Residential Experience through Thoughtful Design

Our design approach fostered community connection by crafting distinctive spaces throughout the scenic lakeside setting that invite residents and visitors to relax and socialize within a harmonious, thoughtfully integrated environment. For example, the 18,000-square-foot Glasshouse Pool serves as a focal point and defining feature for the residential community. The resort-style pool’s sleek and linear design is complemented by lush landscaping that seamlessly integrates with the natural surroundings. The pool area includes distinctive elements, such as sun shelves, a beach entry, and curated art display spaces within the water.

We also thoughtfully crafted each courtyard to offer inviting spaces for gathering that feature community-focused amenities like grilling stations and specialty seating. In addition, residents can enjoy cabanas, fire pits, accessible synthetic turf areas, and a putting green.

Mindful of Glasshouse’s location by Big Sand Lake, our design embraces the surrounding natural landscape and looks ahead to future amenities that will further enrich residents’ experiences. Planned future phases, now in construction, include additional courtyards, a dog park, and a lakehouse with a secondary pool overlooking the lake.
