Kimley-Horn Named One of the 2025 PEOPLE Companies that Care
Kimley-Horn is proud to once again be named to the 2025 PEOPLE Companies that Care list—an honor that recognizes US companies that prioritize their people, their communities, and the environment. The award is based on the analysis of more than 1.3 million anonymous employee survey responses, which showcase employee workplace experiences and organization perceptions. In addition, to be considered for the list, companies must be Great Place To Work Certified™ and must submit essays that detail employee initiatives, community involvement, and sustainability efforts.

People-First Culture
We prioritize our people and are committed to supporting each employee as a whole person—both in and out of the office. We provide them with the resources and top-notch benefits they need to thrive and celebrate their hard work through special bonus programs.
Our benefits include mental health resources such as stress management and wellness services, family building benefits, including fertility support as well as adoption and surrogacy assistance, and a 401(k) plan that has historically offered a 16-18% contribution from the firm. In addition, to show appreciation to our people when we’re performing well, the KH My Way Dollars program provides monetary bonuses throughout the year that can be used for childcare, travel, fitness, or whatever matters most to them. Last year, we distributed more than $10M in KH My Way Dollars to our employees.
Rooted in Community
By empowering our people to flourish, we strengthen our ability to give back together. Community is a core part of our culture, shaping both who we are and how we serve. Through the Kimley-Horn Foundation, we give back to our communities and encourage volunteerism. Over the past year, the Foundation donated more than $1M to community organizations and awarded additional grants to sponsor local charities and initiatives in which our employees actively participate.
Sustainability and Stewardship
Our work as a firm is deeply connected to the communities we live and work in, and we focus on improving user experiences, addressing local needs, enhancing connectivity, advancing accessibility, and supporting sustainability. In the past year, our teams have helped restore water systems and rebuild natural resources, and we also regularly provide sustainability consulting and design services, including greenhouse gas mitigation, climate adaptation, and resiliency planning.
