Los Angeles County KITS
Kimley-Horn was tasked with expanding the KITS Advanced Traffic Management System throughout Los Angeles County, California.
KITS is deployed throughout many regions of Los Angeles County, including the cities of Claremont, San Dimas, Culver City, Beverly Hills, and Agoura Hills. More than 250 intersections are on-line on the county system alone. The public agencies now have the ability to monitor the real-time performance of intersections and are immediately notified of any malfunction.
Kimley-Horn was selected for the expansion of KITS to support Los Angeles County-owned firmware (LACO4E) with AB3418E protocol, multiple agency support for cities within LA County, an interface with LA County’s Information Exchange Network, and other enhanced features. This project also includes frequent client interaction to ensure the look and functionality of the user interface is client-driven.
