Francis X. McKelvey Foundation Honors Pam Keidel-Adams with Award at TRB Annual Meeting

Aviation expert Pam Keidel-Adams was awarded the 2025 Francis X. McKelvey Award at the TRB Annual Meeting on January 6 in Washington, DC. Part of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, TRB promotes innovation and progress in transportation through research to anticipate and solve complex transportation-related challenges The Francis X. McKelvey Award—named for Dr. Francis X. McKelvey, PhD, who was actively involved in TRB for more than 30 years—is presented to an individual in recognition of their demonstrated commitment to improving the aviation industry.

With more than three decades of aviation planning expertise, Pam is a national leader in the field with numerous contributions at the federal, state, and local level, including the FAA Airport Planning and Environmental Research Program; Washington State DOT Aviation, Aviation System Plan, and Economic Impact Study; and the Fresno Yosemite International Airport Master Plan.

She has served the industry through her leadership as chair of the Aviation Group for TRB and of the Aviation Administration and Policy Committee as well as a Board Member on the Board of Directors for the Airport Consultants Council.

In addition to her leadership for airport trade organizations, Pam has been a member of the firm’s aviation leadership team and provides support to the entire practice alongside her partners. She has mentored and contributed to the careers of numerous aviation professionals that continue to excel in the field.

With her sustained contributions to the aviation industry combined with her expansive knowledge spanning airport master planning, airport capacity and design standards evaluations, economic impact analysis, aviation system planning, and strategic planning, Pam is a highly deserving recipient of the Francis X. McKelvey Award.
