Darya Shtykalo Joins IBTTA’s Leadership Academy Class of 2026

Darya Shtykalo, PE, a mobility expert, was accepted into the International Bridge, Tunnel & Turnpike Association’s (IBTTA) competitive Leadership Academy. Designed to prepare mid-career professionals for the next steps in their careers, the academy brought together tolling industry experts from different sectors. After attending the academy, Darya joined an array of program alumni as part of the Class of 2026.
A Growing Legacy of Tolling Leadership
An active member of IBTTA, Darya is part of the Emerging Technology Committee, Women in Tolling Council, Young Professionals Council, and event planning committees, offering a relentless curiosity and personable style to deliver projects effectively. Darya is an emerging leader within Kimley-Horn’s National Tolling Service area and has worked on express lane projects across California—including in Los Angeles, San Diego, and the Bay Area. From developing Concept of Operations documents to engaging with stakeholders and overseeing toll system integration, Darya earns clients’ trust as she leads with technical expertise and unwavering integrity.
Darya was thrilled to attend the IBTTA Leadership Academy and plans to continue building upon the connections she made in the program as she grows into a leadership role at Kimley-Horn.
