Kimley-Horn Joins Thousands of STEM Students at NSBE’s Annual Convention

NSBE’s Annual Convention

Each year, more than 300 companies, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations, plus thousands of Black engineering students attend the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Annual Convention. For nearly 50 years, NSBE has been empowering Black individuals in engineering and technology careers and helping them become industry leaders who drive ethical, community-focused change. A massive student-operated organization, NSBE provides opportunities for K-12 students, university students, and working professionals to take part in the organization’s mission to promote Black engineering excellence.

Kimley-Horn attended the event with several teammates, including Terrance Hill; P.E., Danielle McCray, P.E.; Asia Mosee, P.E.; and Mike Sanders, P.E. The group hosted a booth at the career fair, where they connected with nearly 100 engineering and technology students—many of whom are interested in joining Kimley-Horn for summer internships and full-time opportunities!

“Our hope is that we will continue to attend this conference in the future to not only interact with students at the career fair, but also to create networking opportunities with other Black professionals within the industry.”

Kimley-Horn partners valued the time spent with students and were especially impressed with the amount of underclassmen already thinking about what to do after school. Interested in joining Kimley-Horn? Learn more about our career opportunities here.
