Suntrust Park and the Battery Atlanta
From due diligence through site civil design, Kimley-Horn has performed a wide variety of land development services for the Atlanta Braves’ SunTrust Park and The Battery Atlanta mixed-use development.
This 57-acre mixed-use project includes the ballpark, office space, residential units, an Omni hotel, and retail space. The ballpark has a capacity of 41,676 seats with room for an additional 3,000 standing-room-only patrons. Adjacent retail space includes both shopping and restaurant/bar attractions.
Kimley-Horn was initially engaged by the Atlanta Braves to perform a red flag due diligence on the composite 82-acre land acquisition. Additional services since that time include due diligence, environmental studies, zoning support, major utility relocations, a Development of Regional Impact (DRI) traffic study, and detailed civil design for the ballpark and mixed-use development. Kimley-Horn’s services also included the conceptual development of parking structures on more than eight sites to serve the ballpark.
