The Biden administration has pledged to set enforceable limits for PFAS in drinking water—a national standard that would apply to all utilities. As conventional water treatment methods are ineffective at reducing PFAS levels, these enforcement standards have accelerated interest in PFAS mitigation and treatment.
In his second article written for Texas h2O, Kimley-Horn’s Raul Dominguez, EIT, joined co-author Amlan Ghosh to take a deeper look at the importance of proper sampling for PFAS contaminants, particularly for potable water, and why it’s essential for utilities, municipalities, and private developers.

Raul’s work focuses on water storage, conveyance, and design of water and wastewater treatment plants. He has researched the areas of bio-engineering, biotechnology, and bio materials and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry/Biophysics and Mathematics from Amherst College and a Masters in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University.
