Enhanced Parking Keeps Passengers Warm at Sioux Falls Airport

The Sioux Falls Regional Airport in South Dakota is undergoing major upgrades, making the airport more modern in design and easier to navigate. SiouxFalls.Business shared the airport’s plans in an article, giving a sneak peek into what parking and terminal upgrades are coming.

Serving as the parking and structural consultants, Kimley-Horn performed a planning study to determine future development, including plans for a community-requested parking ramp and skywalk. This new parking structure, located in front of the airport, will provide covered parking for travelers and a warm, dry path from car to terminal during cold, snowy South Dakota days.

Beyond the parking ramp, airport planners have ideas for more landside additions. Increased dining options, modern flooring and updated gate counters, and an expanded baggage claim will all contribute to creating a better experience for travelers to and from Sioux Falls.
