The project's public workshop was held on October 2, 2008 at the Charles "Lind" Brown Neighborhood Activity Center. The meeting format included a projected presentation, which was preceded and followed by an open-house exhibit. A construction schedule will be developed when further progress has been made for the design of Boundary Street. Funds to build the project were identified by the Beaufort County Council through the 1-cent sales tax approved in November 2006. At this time, it is anticipated that construction will begin in 2011.
