Current Schedule - Construction has begun.

Construction Update!

The Torrence Creek Tributary #1 stream restoration project is moving into the Wynfield areas. The contractor will be working on the creek upstream (north) of Wynfield Creek Parkway for the next 4 to 6 weeks. Here is what you can expect:

  • Seeing and hearing construction equipment and crews working in the area.
  • Clearing brush around the creek allowing the contractor to gain access to stabilize the creek’s bed and banks.
  • The construction team working to preserve and save as many large trees along the creek and adjacent areas as possible.

Work over the next few months will include re-shaping the stream and planting native seed. However, the contractor will come back in the fall/winter to plant the trees and shrubs to ensure better survival.

We ask that you continue to help us maintain a safe work zone by keeping children and pets out of the active construction areas. We will continue to update you as the project moves forward.
