TraPac Container Terminal

Jacksonville Port Authority

Jacksonville, FL

Kimley-Horn was selected to provide site civil engineering services for the Jacksonville Port Authority’s (JAXPORT) 158-acre TraPac Container Terminal project, which was initially identified as the Dames Point Container Terminal. The $230-million facility is used by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) and its terminal operating partner, TraPac, to load and unload container ships sailing to and from ports in Asia. KHA’s expertise was utilized to design and permit the landside facilities for the Container Terminal, which included administrative buildings and associated parking and infrastructure, site drainage facilities, container storage areas, master water and sewer systems, access for ingress and egress, and site security.
