Kimley-Horn provided land development, surface water, and utility design services for the development of the Escondido Seventh Day Adventist Church and Academy.

The scope of the project was the transformation of a 14.6 acre hillside site into a new home for the Escondido Seventh Day Adventist Church and Academy. The 55,620 square-foot church building sits atop the site and has views over the Escondido terrain. The 77,300 square-foot two story school building rests below the church and is surrounded with recreational areas for kindergarten and elementary students. A soccer and softball field for high school students is carved into the northern portion of the site. In all, the site work required massive re-grading and retaining up to 35’ high walls in some areas.

Kimley-Horn was responsible for pre-development and post-development hydrologic analysis, hydraulic design of proposed storm drain and detention facilities, utility layout and design, and general plan preparation. We were also responsible for analysis and preparation of Hydrology Study and Water Quality Technical Report for the project.
