Standards by Data Flow

ITS Standards for specific project elements can be found in the Bay Area ITS Architecture. They can be accessed through the “Architecture Details” button on the left. It is a three-step process to find the Standards that match the project elements.
  1. Select the ITS Element (either sorted by stakeholder or by function) For example, the first element by function listed under “Archived Data Management Subsystem” is 511.
  2. After selecting the element, the next step is to select the interface with the field element to answer the question, how will 511 get information from the Roadside Equipment? After selecting 511, the next step is to select 511 Roadside Equipment listed under the Interfaces.
  3. The "Architecture Flows" explain the exchange of information between the elements. Selecting one of the flows will give the communications standards for the selected information or architecture flow. In this example, for “Architecture Flows” between 511 and 511's Roadside Equipment, selecting traffic flow leads to the following standards:
