Runway 3-21 Extension and Safety Area

Project Location
The proposed project is located at Pulliam Airport approximately four miles south of downtown Flagstaff, AZ. This project includes extending the existing runway and taxiway system 1,801 feet to the northeast as well as extending the runway safety area an additional 1,000 feet northeast. The preliminary construction cost estimate is $13,000,000.

Design will commence in August 2006 and be completed by the end of March 2007. Construction is proposed to begin in April 2007 and be completed by December 2007.

Project Description
The project consists of comprehensive professional services as required for the development, analysis, evaluation, design and preparation of construction documents for this runway and taxiway extension project. This project will also require additional work on related adjoining projects such as: completing the update to the Master Drainage Plan; relocation of the utilities within the utility corridor affected by the extension of the runway/taxiway; a preliminary alignment of the extension of John Wesley Powell Blvd; local utility improvements; and incidental work associated with the extension of the runway/taxiway.
